Lewis Hamilton to Open Fanatics Collectibles Store on London’s Regent Street
In a move that is set to excite Formula 1 fans, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will officially open the new Fanatics Collectibles store in London on Friday, April 25. The store, located at 54 Regent Street, will be a hub for collectors and fans to unite, share, and experience collecting in new and exciting ways.
According to a report by talkSPORT, the store will offer a wide range of collectibles from Formula 1 and football to UFC and WWE. The store will also feature incredible pieces of signed memorabilia, including Lionel Messi’s boots and Tom Brady’s jersey.
Hamilton, who recently sealed a fifth-place finish in the Chinese Grand Prix, suggesting that things are starting to improve for Ferrari, will cut the ribbon at 12pm on Friday. Fanatics founder Michael Rubin will also be in attendance.
The store, which spans 8,600 sq. ft, will offer an immersive experience for fans, with a card creation room, a visually stunning hollow box, and a breaker’s studio where creators can open products for their fans on the Fanatics Live platform.
As reported by talkSPORT, Fanatics Collectibles president of trading cards, David Leiner, said: “The countdown is on, April 25th marks the opening of our incredible new space on Regent Street. This will be more than a store, it will be the home of the hobby, a hub for collectors and fans to unite, share, and experience collecting in new and exciting ways.”
The store will also feature some of the rarest trading cards in existence, including Steph Curry and LeBron James rookie cards, signed Lamine Yamal inserts, and incredible relics from stars like Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Hamilton’s involvement in the store’s opening is significant, as he continues to realise his childhood dream of driving for Ferrari after an incredible 12-year stint at Mercedes, where he won six of his titles. The 40-year-old already has a sprint race victory under his belt and sits seventh in the title race.
The opening of the Fanatics Collectibles store on Regent Street is set to be a momentous occasion, and talkSPORT has been told that fans will have the opportunity to be a part of it. The store’s central ring display will feature some of the most impressive collectibles, and fans will be able to view them up close.
In addition to the store’s impressive collection, fans will also be able to take part in a range of activities, including trying out the card creation room and taking a look at the visually stunning hollow box. As talkSPORT reports, the store will also cater to the entertainment market with Disney collectibles and a section of graded Pokemon cards.
