India on Brink of Final as They Take On Hosts Sri Lanka

India on Cusp of Tri-Series Final as They Face Sri Lanka on Sunday

The Indian women’s cricket team, currently topping the points table, will face their Sri Lankan counterparts in Match 4 of the women’s tri-series on Sunday, May 4, at Colombo’s R Premadasa stadium. According to a report by Livemint, India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, has made a great start to the tri-series, winning both of their opening matches with a healthy net run rate of +0.750.

India’s first match was against the hosts, Sri Lanka, on April 27, which they won by nine wickets, easily chasing a target of 148 in the 30th over with 9 wickets to spare in a rain-curtailed match reduced to 39 overs an innings. Opener Pratika Rawal was awarded the Player of the Match for her unbeaten 50 of 62 balls. As per Livemint, Rawal’s performance was a key factor in India’s success.

In their second match, India faced Laura Wolvaardt’s South Africa and won by 15 runs on April 29. Sneh Rana, who was the pick of the bowlers in the opening game with 3/31 in her 8 overs, bagged a five-wicket haul (5/43 in 10 overs) against the Proteas as India defended their first innings total of 276/6. Pratika Rawal registered yet another half-century as she top-scored for the Indian women with 78 (91). The Indian team’s dominant performance has put them in a strong position to qualify for the final of the tri-series.

As reported by Livemint, if India beats Sri Lanka on Sunday, they would qualify for the final of the tri-series with a game to spare. The Indian women are dominating the numbers charts, with both the top run-getter and wicket-taker being the women in blue. Rawal is leading the run charts with 128 runs from her 2 innings, while Sneh Rana is the highest wicket-taker with 8 scalps to her name.

The match between Sri Lanka and India will start at 10 AM IST, which is 4:30 AM GMT. Cricket fans can catch the live streaming of Match 4 in the Women’s tri-series between India and Sri Lanka on the Fancode app. With their current form and performance, India is confident of making it to the final of the tri-series.

According to Livemint, the Indian team’s captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, will be looking to lead her team to victory and make it to the final of the tri-series. The team has shown great skill and determination in their opening matches, and it will be interesting to see how they perform against Sri Lanka on Sunday. With a win, India will seal their spot in the final and move one step closer to winning the tri-series.
