Isle of Wight Festival 2025: Bus Times and Prices Revealed
As the countdown to the Isle of Wight Festival 2025 begins, festival-goers are turning their attention to how they will get to the site at Seaclose Park, Newport. For those planning to travel by bus, Southern Vectis has announced that it will be running a number of shuttle services to and from the festival.
According to the County Press, Southern Vectis will be operating shuttle buses from various ferry ports on the Island. From Yarmouth, festival-goers can catch regular shuttle buses on Thursday, Friday, and Monday, or use route 7 into Newport bus station and catch the shuttle bus from there direct into the festival.
For those arriving at the Island via the Red Jet in Cowes, regular shuttle buses will meet most arrivals and departures from Carvel Lane, a two-minute walk from the ferry. Those using the vehicle ferry Red Funnel from East Cowes can catch shuttle buses from Castle Street. Meanwhile, those arriving via Wightlink’s FastCat or Hovertravel at Ryde Esplanade can catch shuttle buses operating up to every 10 minutes from Ryde Transport Interchange.
The County Press reports that all shuttle buses will be clearly signposted, and festival-goers simply need to follow the arrows and crowds to get to the festival site.
Shuttle Bus Prices
The prices for shuttle buses to and from the festival site have been announced, with a single adult ticket costing £10, up from £9.50 last year. A return ticket costs £16.50, while a weekend ticket is priced at £50.

Newport Shuttle Bus Service
In addition to the shuttle buses from the ferry ports, a shuttle bus service will also operate between Church Litten (near Morrisons) in Newport and the festival bus station.
According to the County Press, buses will operate at regular intervals from early until late on Thursday to Sunday. The cost of a single adult ticket is £4, while a return ticket costs £7.
Normal Bus Services
The normal route 9 between Ryde and Newport will operate, but solely via Staplers, and not via Fairlee or the festival site. Festival-goers can use the special 9F service, which will operate throughout the time that the normal route 9 is not operating via Fairlee.
The 9F service, which costs £5 for an adult single and £9 return, will operate from John Street, Ryde but does not run in the evenings.
Cashless Bus Services
This year, all festival buses will be cashless, with tickets available for purchase from the bus driver on any shuttle bus or Southern Vectis service, or on the Southern Vectis app.
