Dakota Johnson’s Revealing Dress Derails Tonight Show Interview with Jimmy Fallon
In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, actress Dakota Johnson found herself struggling with a revealing black mini-dress that seemed to be causing her some discomfort. According to an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Johnson, star of the film Madame Web, was a guest on the show when she attempted to sit down, only to realise that her dress was not behaving as expected.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, Johnson exclaimed, "Oh God," as she tried to adjust her dress while also attempting to keep its plunging neckline in place. When host Jimmy Fallon checked in to see if she was okay, Johnson promptly declared, "This is the wrong outfit." The incident was captured on camera, and Entertainment Weekly has provided footage of the exchange.
Fallon, trying to be supportive, laughed and told Johnson, "No, no. I think it’s perfect, you look great. Just don’t move." However, Johnson was not convinced, and she continued to adjust her dress throughout the interview. At one point, she even joked, "My eyes are up here," leading Fallon to throw his head back in embarrassment. "I can’t even look there," he confessed. "I don’t know what to do. I’m confused."

When Fallon attempted to steer the conversation back on track, Johnson remained fixated on her dress, telling Fallon, "Tell me if there’s a problem." Johnson added that she would "keep my posture real good" to prevent any potential wardrobe malfunctions, before jokingly asking, "Does anyone have like, a blanket I could wear? Just kidding." With no blankets available, Fallon offered Johnson a tissue, which she quickly shoved into the front of her dress. "That’s perfect. No one will even know the difference!" he joked.
The interview, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, took a humorous turn when Fallon noted that Johnson looked "gorgeous" and that he didn’t want to "ruin your outfit" with his gag gift. Johnson teased, "You want to keep it?" Fallon quickly responded, "I’m putting this on eBay this evening! You won’t believe where this tissue’s [been]! TMZ!" Johnson laughed, and the two continued to banter back and forth.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, the conversation eventually turned to Johnson’s fashion choices, with Fallon gifting her a green sweater that her father, Don Johnson, had given him. Johnson dramatically threw the sweater across the front of her dress, before relaxing and pretending to wipe the sweat from her brow.
This incident, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, is not the first time Johnson has had to deal with a wardrobe malfunction on a late-night TV show. Last June, she had to hold up her dress throughout her entire Jimmy Kimmel Live interview after its singular strap broke. "My dress just, it just fell off," Johnson confessed at the time. "Well, I’ll just hold it."
