Local Songstress Dasha Creates Hit on KIK-FM 100.7 Airwaves

Country Star Dasha Set to Shine at Stagecoach Festival with New Song

Country music fans are in for a treat as Dasha prepares to take to the main stage at this year’s Stagecoach festival. The singer-songwriter, who got to sing her viral hit "Austin" at last year’s event, is set to return as a headliner, with a brand new song to debut.

According to an interview with People, Dasha’s new song is titled "Give Me a Second" and promises to be a "super-fun, upbeat" track with relatable lyrics. As reported by KIKV Radio, Dasha revealed that the song will be featured in her upcoming set at Stagecoach, with plans to open the show with it. "It’s just super-fun, upbeat, and the lyrics are so real," she said.

While "Give Me a Second" won’t be her next single, Dasha is excited to share it with fans as part of her set. "I really wanted to include it in the set because of how much fun it is to perform," she explained. "We’re literally opening the show with it." This new song is just a taste of what’s to come from Dasha, who plans to release an EP soon, followed by another in October, which will combine to form a bigger album.

As KIKV Radio previously reported, Dasha’s goal is to showcase her music and personality to a wider audience. Last year, her song "Austin" became a huge hit, but she feels that it overshadowed her as an artist. "I feel like with these appearances with Stagecoach and bigger shows, I have this opportunity to show people like, ‘Hey, I’m the girl who sings "Austin," these are the rest of my songs, and this is my new project,’" she said.

Dasha also shared a memorable encounter with Post Malone at an awards show last year. She introduced herself to him, and he replied using his birth name, "Oh, ‘sup? I’m Austin." Dasha revealed that she then mentioned her song "Austin," and Post Malone was familiar with it. "He’s just a cool dude and so him even just knowing my song was there in the world was pretty cool," she said.

As Dasha takes to the stage at Stagecoach, fans can expect to hear her hit song "Austin" as well as her brand new track "Give Me a Second." With her upcoming EPs and album, the country music scene is abuzz with excitement about what’s next for this talented artist. KIKV Radio will be keeping a close eye on Dasha’s progress, and fans can stay tuned for more updates on her music and performances.
