MAFS Star Carina Mirabile Opens Up About Her Life After the Show
Carina Mirabile, the Married At First Sight bride who captured the attention of audiences with her tumultuous relationship with Paul Antoine, has revealed that she’s moving on with her life. In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Australia, the 31-year-old reality star confirmed that she’s single and focusing on her career.
According to Daily Mail Australia, Carina says she’s not looking for anyone new, instead choosing to concentrate on her future in the fashion world. "I’m not dating, I’m not doing any of that and I’m really just allowing any opportunity that comes my way," she tells Nine. This newfound focus on her career comes after her highly publicized marriage to Paul Antoine on the reality TV show.
In the same interview with Daily Mail Australia, Carina opened up about her experiences on the show, describing her whirlwind romance with Paul as a tumultuous ride. "It was a whirlwind," she admitted. "We had some beautiful moments, but it also got dark, really fast. And I don’t think anyone was prepared for what happened – not even me." Carina revealed that she was blindsided when Paul wrote a scathing letter about her on the show, airing private grievances she thought were shared in confidence.
The letter, which was a turning point in their relationship, left Carina feeling betrayed and hurt. "You’re meant to feel safe with your partner," she said. "But when Paul decided to write that letter and say things I had confided in him about, that were meant to stay between us – I felt betrayed. It was invasive. It was a total betrayal of trust." The tension between them ultimately led to their downfall, with Carina refusing to continue living with Paul when producers introduced a new task asking each participant to choose whether they wanted to stay with their spouse or try living with someone else.
As reported by Daily Mail Australia, Carina’s decision was an instant no, while Paul surprisingly chose to pursue a relationship with someone else. "I said to my producer ‘If Paul says yes, he’s got bricks in his head’," she revealed. "And I meant it. I was so patient with him the entire experiment. I let him into my world, into my home, he met my family. We had just been intimate. He brought me coffee and croissants every morning. And then he turns around and does that."
The experience left Carina questioning her self-worth, but she’s now taking steps to rebuild and find herself again. As Daily Mail Australia reported, she’s preparing to launch a podcast called Glam Pod with Jacob, promising raw, honest chats about business, beauty, personal growth, and reality TV. Carina also hopes to use her platform to raise awareness about domestic violence, an issue that was highlighted during the show.
In her interview with Daily Mail Australia, Carina set the record straight about speculation she had a secret fling with Paul before the show. "We matched on Bumble, went on a single hike, had two coffees, and never slept together. That’s it," she said firmly. "We hadn’t seen each other in six months before the show." As for Paul, Carina wishes him all the best but is clear that she’s not interested in rekindling their romance. "I wish him all the best," she said. "But if he thinks he can win me back after that final task… he’s dreaming."
