James Martin Announces Break from Saturday Morning Cooking Show
In a heartfelt announcement, celebrity chef James Martin revealed that he will be taking a break from his popular cooking show, Saturday Morning, along with the ITV crew, for the summer. The news was shared with viewers at the end of the show, where Martin expressed his gratitude to his guests and crew members.
According to DevonLive, Martin said: "That’s all we have got time for today, a massive thank you to all of my guests. My food team, you can sleep better now. Daniel and Sally, and of course, Harry Redknapp and Carly Paoli." He further added, "That is also for the series. Me and the crew are heading off on sunny holidays. Different climates."
As reported by DevonLive, Martin’s break was announced as he wrapped up the show, and he took the opportunity to thank his guests, including Harry Redknapp and Carly Paoli. The chef also engaged in a lighthearted conversation with a crew member, where he asked about their holiday plans. The crew member replied that they were heading to Portugal, to which Martin responded that he would be heading to Yorkshire.
DevonLive reported that Martin signed off the show by saying: "Until then, thanks for watching. Have a wonderful, fantastic summer. I’ll see you out there wherever you are. Thanks for watching, see you again soon, goodbye for now." This announcement comes as no surprise, as the show’s schedule had been adjusted due to the Derby on ITV1, resulting in a shorter episode than usual.
In an earlier segment of the show, Martin had also shared his admiration for a traditional Italian fish dish, which he sampled during a trip to Italy. As quoted by DevonLive, he said: "Can I just say if your two sons don’t want to do this, you call me." He further expressed his enthusiasm, saying: "I might retire here. I could be over there, I could be doing this, it is fantastic."
DevonLive also reported that Martin had informed viewers about the schedule change, saying: "Because of the Derby on ITV1 this afternoon, it is a shorter episode than usual today. But we still have time for one more dish." Fans of the show can rest assured that Martin and his crew will return with more exciting recipes and guests later in the year.
James Martin’s Saturday Morning is available to watch on ITVX.
