McDonald’s Unveils New Menu Items, Including the Big Arch Burger
A new burger that has never been on the McDonald’s UK menu before is set to launch on Wednesday, June 18. The fast food giant has announced that its latest “iconic” creation, the Big Arch burger, is designed for those “who don’t do things by halves.”
The “rich and creamy” Big Arch burger consists of two beef patties topped with cheddar cheese, signature sauce, crispy and fresh onions, lettuce, and pickles. It is held together in a poppy and sesame seed-topped bun. According to the Liverpool Echo, the Big Arch sauce promises to be “packed full of that unmistakably McDonald’s flavour.”
The new burger will be available in restaurants and for delivery from Wednesday, June 18. Thomas O’Neill, Head of Menu at McDonald’s, said: “A new iconic burger needs an equally iconic sauce, and we’ve taken it up a notch with the Big Arch. This isn’t just about size, it’s about flavour. With double layers of beef, crispy onions, and the hero of the build, our signature sauce, every bite is crafted to hit the spot to satisfy serious McDonald’s hunger. Big, bold, and packed with serious deliciousness.”
The menu overhaul doesn’t stop there, with the company promising there is “something just for you” this Summer. Whether you’re a toffee lover, burger fanatic, spice seeker or cheese connoisseur, you will be glad to see the new additions.
Joining the dessert menu is the Toffee Crisp McFlurry, which features soft dairy ice cream swirled with Toffee Crisp pieces, topped with toffee sauce. Beside this is the Toffee Apple Pie, a warm treat featuring a crispy pastry filled with toffee flavour.
Other new menu items include the Katsu Chicken One, which features crispy or grilled chicken coated in flavourful katsu sauce, with crispy onions, cucumber, and lettuce – all wrapped in a toasted tortilla. The Cheesy McCrispy, a chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating, served with lettuce, onions, pink pickled onion chutney, bacon, Emmental cheese and deluxe cheese sauce, is also back by popular demand.
In addition, Halloumi Fries will be returning as a side portion, served with a sweet chilli dip. The Liverpool Echo has reported the prices for the new menu items, which are as follows:
