Miami Grand Prix Takes Centre Stage with F1 Movie Promotion
The 2025 Miami Grand Prix has taken a unique approach to promotion, as the event organisers have replaced the traditional driver name displays above the pit garages with the names of artists featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming F1 movie. According to Motorsport.com, the display boards typically feature the drivers’ names and headshots, but visitors to the Miami International Autodrome are being treated to a different sight.
The F1 movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Lewis Hamilton, stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes and Damson Idris as Joshua Pearce. As Motorsport.com reports, Pitt’s character is pulled back into the industry to help the struggling Apx Grand Prix F1 team and their new, inexperienced rookie driver. The film crew has been spotted at several Grands Prix over the past couple of seasons, and although filming was wrapped late last year, the marketing efforts are in full swing ahead of the movie’s release later this year.
The soundtrack for the F1 movie, released by Atlantic Records, features a star-studded lineup of artists, including Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, and Burna Boy. As quoted in Motorsport.com, the full tracklist for “F1 The Album” includes:
* Don Toliver – “Lose My Mind” (feat. Doja Cat)

The Miami Grand Prix will also feature live music performances from Pitbull, Kygo, Tiësto, Kaskade, Cedric Gervais, and Sofi Tukker throughout the weekend. As Motorsport.com reports, Tyler Epp, President of the Miami Grand Prix, said: “As we continue to build on the incredible energy and cultural vibrancy of Miami, we’re thrilled to offer fans an unforgettable weekend that blends world-class racing with top-tier music performances.”
The event promises to be an exciting and unique experience for fans, combining the speed and excitement of Formula 1 with the energy of live music.
