Moné’s Post-WrestleMania Message to Bayley Revealed

In a shocking turn of events, WWE has pulled Bayley from her scheduled Night Two match at WrestleMania 41 due to an injury angle. The move has sparked speculation among fans and pundits alike, with many wondering what led to this decision. According to a report from Cageside Seats, Bayley’s write-off was planned in advance and she is, in fact, healthy.

The news broke prior to Night One of WrestleMania 41, with WWE announcing that Bayley would no longer be participating in her scheduled match against Women’s Tag champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Instead, Lyra Valkyria was given a short notice to find a new partner. As reported by Cageside Seats, PWInsider Elite had previously suggested that Bayley’s removal was an angle, and not a result of an actual injury.

The speculation has centred around Lyra Valkyria potentially teaming up with Becky Lynch, a fellow Irishwoman and former Women’s World title holder. Lynch had gone on hiatus after losing the title to Morgan in a steel cage match last May. A reunion between Lynch and Valkyria would make sense, given their history in NXT. As Cageside Seats notes, “it would be a tough beat for Bayley” who had a standout moment at WrestleMania last year, winning the Women’s title from IYO SKY.

In a surprising development, AEW’s Mercedes Moné took to social media to post a message that appears to be directed at Bayley. According to Cageside Seats, Moné and Bayley have a long history, dating back to their time in NXT. Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks, had a notable run in WWE before departing in 2022 due to reported booking issues. As Cageside Seats reports, Moné’s message roughly translates to “you should call me so we can talk business, because you being a healthy scratch from WrestleMania isn’t cool”.

The reaction to Moné’s message has been mixed, with fans divided along AEW and WWE lines. As Cageside Seats notes, “fan reaction to The C.E.O.’s message is mixed… not surprising given it involves AEW and WWE and was posted to X/Twitter where most people seem to be fans of one of those companies more than wrestling in general”. The question on everyone’s mind is whether this is a genuine attempt by Moné to reach out to Bayley or simply a light-hearted WrestleMania trolling.

As the news continues to unfold, fans are eagerly awaiting a response from Bayley or WWE. Will Moné’s message lead to a future collaboration between the two wrestling stars? Or was it simply a one-off gesture? One thing is certain – the drama surrounding WrestleMania 41 has only just begun. According to Cageside Seats, “will there ever be any more follow-up on it? Or was it just Mercedes doing some light ‘Mania trolling? Give us your reaction below.”
