Newcastle United Fans Can Purchase Tickets for Celtic Park Showdown
Newcastle United fans will be able to purchase tickets for their side’s upcoming pre-season friendly against Celtic at Celtic Park on Saturday, July 19th. The match, which is set to kick off at 3pm BST, will see Eddie Howe’s side face Brendan Rodgers’ Bhoys in a highly anticipated encounter.
According to a statement released by One Football, tickets for the match went on sale to season ticket holders with 35 and above away points on Tuesday, May 6th. The points threshold will be reduced daily at 2pm BST, excluding weekends, subject to availability.
The pricing structure for the tickets has also been released, with a £3 reduction available for restricted view tickets. One Football reports that there will be 1,200 restricted view tickets available within the allocation, which will be sold once the full view allocation has sold out.
In terms of ticket purchasing, One Football notes that anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult aged over 18 at Celtic Park. Due to the size of the allocation, the club will be offering sale to seat instead of the usual travel groups for this fixture. If fans are in a different points threshold to a junior and wish to sit together, they can contact the Box Office to make arrangements.
One Football also reports that tickets will be in paper format and that Celtic Park is a cashless stadium. Additionally, no visitor tickets will be available on the day at Celtic Park, with all tickets required to be purchased in advance from Newcastle United.
The club has also announced that there will be a limited allocation open to season ticket holder ballot for those who do not meet the away points threshold. This ballot will go live after the final points drop and will be open for entry for 24 hours. Supporters will be asked to input card details, and if they are successful in the ballot, payment will be taken and the season ticket holder will be notified by email. Those that are unsuccessful in the ballot will also be notified as such and will not be charged.
As quoted by One Football, the club has stated that all tickets are for the sole use of the supporter making the purchase under their Newcastle United supporter number and are strictly non-transferable. Ticket transfer will not be available for this fixture, but tickets can be returned to the club up until 48 hours before kick-off.
For fans looking to purchase tickets, it’s essential to note that the match is part of the first-ever adidas Trophy. With Newcastle United set to face Celtic in a highly anticipated encounter, fans will be eager to secure their tickets for the match.
