Community Mourns the Loss of Paulette J. Cudd
A life of love, dedication, and service came to an end on May 15, 2025, with the passing of Paulette J. Cudd, aged 79. According to her obituary published on Hoy Funeral Home’s website, Paulette passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by the memories of a life well-lived.
Born on February 8, 1946, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Paulette was the daughter of the late Paul and Jean (Sutton) Hanna. Her family and friends will remember her for her tireless work ethic, which saw her retire from AT&T after nearly 50 years of devoted service. As reported by Hoy Funeral Home, Paulette’s dedication to her work was a hallmark of her life, and her commitment to her family was equally unwavering.
Paulette’s life was marked by both joy and sorrow. She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, George Cudd, as well as her siblings Danny Hanna, Charlie Hanna, Susan Triantafillou, and Dean Hanna. Despite these losses, Paulette remained steadfast in her love for her family, and her legacy will live on through her children, Dannette McDowell, Lynette Palen, and Christine (George) Cudd. As noted by Hoy Funeral Home, Paulette is also survived by her siblings, Diana Seavey and Dale (Laura) Hanna; step-children, Timothy (Suellyn) Cudd, Monette Jabloski, Yvette Cudd, and Paulette Cudd; and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The outpouring of support from the community has been a testament to Paulette’s impact on those around her. As Hoy Funeral Home reported, a visitation will be held at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, allowing friends and family to pay their respects. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home, followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Paulette’s memory. As stated on Hoy Funeral Home’s website, "The family will direct memorials." This gesture is a poignant reminder of Paulette’s selflessness and generosity, and it will undoubtedly bring comfort to those who are grieving her loss.
