Rachel Riley Stuns in Daring Sequin Gown at Women’s Football Awards


Celebrities Attend SHEIN’s 2025 Women’s Football Awards

The 2025 Women’s Football Awards, sponsored by SHEIN, took place at the InterContinental London Park Lane, and was attended by a host of high-profile celebrities. The event, which is Europe’s biggest celebration of the people powering the phenomenal rise of the women’s game, saw many stars come out in support of women’s football.

According to the Daily Star, Countdown star Rachel Riley looked stunning in a silver sequin dress, which she wore to the swanky event. The 39-year-old dazzled bystanders with her glorious look, which was provided by fashion brand SHEIN. Other celebrities in attendance included Love Island’s Gabby Allen, who rocked a long red dress paired with white heels, and Pussycat Doll star Kimberly Wyatt, who opted for a jaw-dropping yellow ensemble with bejewelled skyscraper shoes.

The event also saw appearances from Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts, Steps singer Claire Richards, and Love Island’s Cally Jane. Hosts Gabby Logan and Jamie Carragher were also in attendance, with the latter praising the winners and saying: "The Women’s Football Awards is Europe’s biggest celebration of the people powering the phenomenal rise of the women’s game. It was a privilege to be involved once again and help shine a light on the players, coaches, clubs, and leaders who are not just making history, they are changing the future of football," as reported by the Daily Star.

As cited in the Daily Star, Arsenal striker Alessia Russo and Chelsea forward Lauren James both took home the Player of the Year award, while the FA’s former Director of Women’s Professional Game, Kelly Simmons, took home the SHEIN Lifetime Achievement Award for her work in driving forward the grassroots game.

The event was sponsored by SHEIN, who have been supporting the Women’s Football Awards for the third year running. Shihong Liu, Director, Europe Markets at SHEIN, commented: "We are proud to be part of the Women’s Football Awards for the third year running. It was an inspiring evening that shone a light on the immense talent, determination, and impact of women in football. We extend our congratulations to all of the winners and nominees and look forward to another incredible year for the women’s game," as reported by the Daily Star.

The 2025 Women’s Football Awards saw many celebrities come out in support of women’s football, and the Daily Star was on the ground to capture all the action. With many stars in attendance, it was clear that women’s football is continuing to grow in popularity and support.
