The Racing Post has provided its expert free horse racing tips for Saturday, May 24, at Beverley, Goodwood, and Haydock. The tips cover various categories, including the Handicappers’ nap, Eyecatcher, The Punt nap, Speed figures, Newmarket nap, and Dark horse.
According to the Racing Post, Billyb is the Handicappers’ nap for the 3:55 race at Beverley. The horse won this race last year off a 5lb lower mark before going on to show better form when runner-up in the Carlisle Bell off just 1lb lower than today’s mark. The Racing Post notes that Billyb should be all the better for his recent return at Chester and has bagged the rail draw.
The Eyecatcher for the Racing Post is Tuco Salamanca, running in the 1:30 race at Goodwood. Ollie Sangster’s gelding has done nothing but improve this year and will relish the return to 7f after a couple of near-misses over 6f.
The Punt nap is also Billyb, running in the 3:55 race at Beverley. The Racing Post states that Billyb was well-supported when winning this race with a bit to spare last year for Craig Lidster and is likely to have been targeted at a repeat.
In the Speed figures category, the Racing Post recommends Symbol Of Honour, running in the 3:00 race at Haydock. The horse clocked a very good speed figure when winning a well-contested Listed race at Newbury last week.
The Newmarket nap is Field Of Gold, running in the 3:40 race at Curragh. The Racing Post notes that Field Of Gold has bounced out of the 2,000 Guineas well after finishing best of all in second and is fancied to go one better for John and Thady Gosden.
Finally, the Dark horse is Miss Nightfall, running in the 1:30 race at Goodwood. The Racing Post states that Miss Nightfall signed off last season with a good second over course and distance, with the form boosted since.
