The Red Arrows Flightpath Revealed: Worcestershire Residents to Witness Stunning Display
Residents of Worcestershire are in for a treat as the Royal Air Force (RAF) aerobatic team, the Red Arrows, prepare to fly over the county as part of the Midlands Air Festival. According to Worcester News, the flightpath for the Red Arrows has been released, with the team set to pass directly over the Malvern Hills.
The Red Arrows will be flying over several locations in Worcestershire, including Badsey, Malvern, Broadwas, Great Witley, and Redditch. The team will be performing a series of flyovers across the region, with the exact times and locations revealed by Worcester News. The flightpath will take the Red Arrows over RAF Waddington at 2:30 pm, south of Harby at 2:32 pm, and south west of Tower Lean at 2:41 pm.
The Red Arrows will also be flying over the Midlands Air Festival, which is taking place at Ragley Hall in Alcester, Warwickshire, from Friday to Sunday (May 30 to June 1). The festival will feature an array of shows, including World War Two warbird helicopters, hot air balloons, classic jets, high-energy aerobatics, and more. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster will also be making an appearance, joined by the Spitfire and Hurricane on each day of the event.
In an interview with Worcester News, officials confirmed that the flightpath for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster has not yet been released, but it will be attending the Midlands Air Festival on Friday (May 30) between 3:45 pm and 4:15 pm, on Saturday (May 31) between 1 pm and 1:30 pm, and on Sunday (June 1) between 2:15 pm and 2:45 pm.
The Midlands Air Festival will also feature over 100 rainbow-coloured hot air balloons in ‘rare, exciting and special shapes’, taking part in four mass ascents over the weekend. However, numbers are extremely limited for those wishing to take part in a balloon flight. Tickets to the Midlands Air Festival can only be bought online and will not be available at the gate. Parking is included in the price of the ticket, but pets will not be allowed to attend due to the loud noises made by the aircraft.
