T.G.I.S. Star Red Sternberg Passes Away at 50
Filipino actor Red Sternberg, best known for his role in the popular TV series "T.G.I.S.", has sadly passed away at the age of 50. The news was confirmed by his wife, Sandy Sternberg, through a Facebook post on Friday.
According to Sandy, Red suddenly passed away on Tuesday, May 27th. "To be greeted ‘happy birthday’ and ‘sorry for your loss’ at the same time three consecutive days of what was supposed to be a celebration full of birthdays. May was our month! 5th, 28th, 29th and 30th," she wrote. "My husband suddenly passed away the morning of Tuesday, May 27th. To those who knew him from his early acting days, he was ‘Kiko,’ but to our three kids and I he was simply Daddy/Dada. Today would have been his 51st birthday," she added.
Sandy asked for prayers and privacy for their family as they navigate this difficult journey. She also mentioned that memorial arrangements will be shared soon. The news of Red’s passing has sent shockwaves to the entertainment industry, with many of his colleagues and friends paying tribute to him on social media.
The production team of "T.G.I.S." also paid tribute to Red through a post by the show’s director, Mark Reyes. "The entire T.G.I.S Barkada is heart broken to lose one of our own," he said.
