Romano: Liverpool’s Top Target Close to Signing

Liverpool Close to Signing Hungarian Left-Back Milos Kerkez

Liverpool are on the verge of signing Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez, with talks between the club and Bournemouth entering their final stage. According to transfer enthusiast Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are prepared to push the deal over the line with one more round of talks. “Liverpool are prepared to seal Milos Kerkez deal with one more round of talks to get it over the line,” Romano posted on his Twitter account. “Bournemouth and Liverpool are finalising the agreement after personal terms in place last week. Here we go, soon.”

The news was reported earlier by Anfield Index, citing Romano as the source of the information. The Hungarian left-back has long been on Liverpool’s radar, and it is understood that Bournemouth are holding out for a fee close to £45m.

Liverpool’s fast-moving transfer strategy under Arne Slot is clear, with the club coming off a Premier League-winning campaign in Slot’s first season. The intention is to build a squad capable of sustaining success. Jeremie Frimpong has already signed from Bayer Leverkusen for £29.4m, while exits such as Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid and Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford have reshaped the squad.

Kerkez, 20, has been impressive since joining Bournemouth, and it is no surprise that Liverpool are keen to bring him to Anfield. Speaking on his YouTube channel earlier this week, Romano gave fans a glimpse of the player’s mindset. “The agreement with the player is done. I’m told that Milos Kerkez can’t wait to join Liverpool,” Romano said. “He’s really tempted by this opportunity, tempted to be part of this fantastic squad, believing that Liverpool were already fantastic in the season just completed, and it’s going to be even better in the next one with more additions.”

Romano also highlighted the good relationship between Liverpool and Kerkez’s agent, who also represents Federico Chiesa. “There is a fantastic feeling at the moment between Liverpool and Kerkez. The agent is the same agent who represents Federico Chiesa, so the relationship is very good, and now Liverpool are advancing on this deal,” Romano added.

The signing of Kerkez would be a key piece of Arne Slot’s vision moving forward, and would provide a long-term option for the left-back role. Andy Robertson remains a key figure at Anfield, but with only a year left on his contract and having turned 31 in March, the club is clearly planning ahead. Kerkez offers energy, aggression and potential, making him an ideal long-term option.

Jamie Carragher was full of praise for the young defender earlier in the season on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football. “He’s aggressive, he’s got pace. Even when you look at him, he looks like a full-back. Little, really aggressive, after wingers on that side. He’s just bombing up and down that left side. He’s been superb since he’s come into the Premier League with Bournemouth, and he’s probably one to watch for the future, whether he stays at the club or moves on, because he’s made that much of an impact.”

As reported by Anfield Index, if all goes as expected, Kerkez will become the second major signing of Liverpool’s summer, and a key piece of Arne Slot’s vision moving forward. With the deal expected to be sealed soon, Liverpool fans will be eagerly anticipating the arrival of the young Hungarian left-back.

The potential signing of Kerkez has been widely reported, and it is clear that Liverpool are building a strong squad for the upcoming season. According to Anfield Index, all signs point to a deal being wrapped up soon, and fans will be keeping a close eye on developments in the coming days.

As the transfer window heats up, Liverpool are looking to strengthen their squad and build on their Premier League-winning campaign. With Kerkez set to join the Reds, fans will be excited to see how he performs in the upcoming season. Anfield Index will be keeping a close eye on all the latest developments and will bring you all the news and updates as the transfer window progresses.
