Northampton Saints Prepare for Emotional Finale Against Saracens
This Saturday, Northampton Saints will take to the pitch at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens for their final home game of the 2024/25 Gallagher Premiership campaign, as they host Saracens in a highly anticipated match. According to a statement released by Northampton Saints, the game is set to kick off at 3.05pm in front of a capacity crowd.
The men in Black, Green and Gold will be looking to build momentum ahead of next weekend’s Investec Champions Cup Final, as well as extend their winning run over Saracens on home soil to five matches. As Northampton Saints notes, a play-off spot is unfortunately beyond them, but the team is eager to sign off in style at their final cinch Stadium encounter of the season.
The match will also mark the annual end-of-season Leavers Ceremony, which began back in 2017. As stated by Northampton Saints, the Club will be inviting supporters onto the pitch following the match to celebrate the squad’s accomplishments this season, and also toast those players that will be moving on to pastures new next term. The playing squad will complete a lap of honour around the ground immediately after the final whistle and hand out signed balls, while the Club’s new Academy intake for the 2025/26 season will be unveiled.
Supporters will be welcomed onto the pitch for the annual presentation of caps to Saints who have hit significant milestones this season, and shirts to the players who will be departing the Club this summer. Players such as Juarno Augustus, Temo Mayanavanua, Burger Odendaal, Tom Seabrook, and Tarek Haffar will all be bidding a fond farewell to Northampton, making the event one not to be missed. As Northampton Saints requests, supporters are asked to please do not go onto the pitch until told to do so by the stewards, in order to give the players the send-off they deserve.
The pitch will remain open for up to an hour after the presentation, during which time DJ Carly Wilford will perform a set, and a selection of food units in the Supporter Village will also remain open. For those still looking to attend the match, Northampton Saints reports that a limited number of single seats are still available for the special price of just £55* (unless otherwise advertised for less).
In preparation for the event, Northampton Saints has released a statement urging supporters to help make the occasion a memorable one. As the Club looks to sign off their season in style, fans will be eagerly anticipating what promises to be an emotional and action-packed afternoon at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens. With a capacity crowd expected, and a number of significant milestones to be celebrated, this Saturday’s match against Saracens is set to be an event not to be missed.
The club’s management and players are eagerly looking forward to the event, and fans will be hoping that Northampton Saints can secure a win in their final home game of the season. With Saracens providing stiff opposition, the match is expected to be a closely contested affair, and one that will provide a fitting end to Northampton Saints’ 2024/25 Gallagher Premiership campaign. Northampton Saints will be keen to make it a memorable occasion for their departing players and will be looking for a win to round off their home campaign.
