A major music festival in Sheffield has announced a huge addition to its lineup, with rock legend Bryan Adams set to headline on Friday, August 29. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus, which is being held at the city’s Don Valley Bowl, will feature Adams as the new Friday night headliner, following the withdrawal of The Wombats from the bill.
According to Yahoo News UK, festival director Ali O’Reilly said: “Unfortunately, The Wombats will no longer be playing Friday, August 29 but we are delighted to announce an exciting new act so Friday can go ahead as planned. We’re incredibly excited to welcome Bryan Adams to Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus. His catalogue of hits and legendary live performances are the stuff of rock folklore, and having him headline Friday night means fans are in for a real treat.”
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus is not your average music festival – it’s an immersive experience that combines world-class music with jaw-dropping circus acts, gourmet street food, VIP upgrades, and late-night after-parties, all set in the heart of Sheffield at Don Valley. The festival will feature three stages, including the Discovery Stage and BBC Introducing Stage, with over 40 artists set to perform across the weekend.
As reported by Yahoo News UK, Bryan Adams will be joined by a range of talented artists, including Melanie C, Newton Faulkner, Cassyette, Nell Mescal, Somebody’s Child, Ashley Singh, Deco, Bethany Grace, Crystal Tides, Femur, The Crookes, Sundress, Charlie Floyd, and Alice Ede. * Wednesday, August 27 – Queens of the Stone Age
* Thursday, August 28 – Queens of the Stone Age, plus Viagra Boys, Fat Dog, Shame and more
* Friday, August 29 – Bryan Adams, Melanie C, Newton Faulkner, Cassyette and more
* Saturday, August 30 – Reverend & The Makers, Dayfever, Groove Armada, Carl Barat, Peter Doherty and more
* Sunday, August 31 – James, Ocean Colour Scene, Embrace, Cast, Sleeper and more
The festival will also feature a range of activities and attractions, including circus performances from fire breathers, aerialists, and more, workshops, cocktail bars, and a food village with a range of gourmet options. The VIP Greggs Area will offer late-night DJs, posh loos, private bars, and merchandise.
