SRH Star Sidelined: COVID-19 Forces Player Out of Next Game

SRH Star Travis Head to Miss Next Game Due to Covid

A concerning development has emerged in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be without star player Travis Head for their upcoming match against Lucknow. According to reports from Gulte.com, Head has recently recovered from a bout of Covid-19 but will not be part of the SRH squad for the game against Lucknow.

The news comes as a blow to SRH fans, who were looking forward to watching Head in action. However, it’s worth noting that SRH has already been eliminated from the tournament playoffs, so the absence of Head may not have a significant impact on the team’s overall performance. As Gulte.com reports, “the exclusion of Head is not too decisive for Hyderabad, considering that the team has been eliminated from the tournament playoffs already.”

Travis Head had reportedly contracted the Covid virus recently and took longer than expected to recover. According to Gulte.com, “Head has recovered from Covid and he will be arriving in India tomorrow. But he will not be a part of the SRH squad for the game against Lucknow.” The report further states that Head’s recovery took a bit longer than expected, which led to his exclusion from the upcoming match.

The Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the IPL in the past, with several games being cancelled and shifted to foreign venues. However, things have settled in recent seasons, and there hasn’t been any major Covid-related disruption to the tournament. As Gulte.com notes, “there was once a time when the Covid pandemic wreaked havoc in the IPL. It wasn’t long before games were getting cancelled and shifted to foreign venues due to the Covid situation. But things have settled in the recent seasons and there’s no such Covid scare for the time being.”

While SRH may not be directly impacted by Head’s absence, fans will still be disappointed to miss out on watching him bat. As Gulte.com observes, “Travis Head is very entertaining player, and it should have been fun watching him bat.” The report confirms that Head will be arriving in India soon, but his participation in future matches remains uncertain.

In conclusion, the news of Travis Head’s absence from SRH’s next game due to Covid-19 will come as a disappointment to fans. However, with SRH already eliminated from the playoffs, the impact on the team’s overall performance may be limited. As reported by Gulte.com, fans will have to wait and see if Head recovers in time to participate in future matches.
