Tulsa King Season 3: First Look at Sylvester Stallone’s Character
The Paramount+ series, Tulsa King, created by Taylor Sheridan, has been making waves since its premiere in November 2022. The show follows the journey of Sylvester Stallone’s character, Dwight Manfredi, a New York mafia capo, exiled to Tulsa. As the highly anticipated third season approaches, Collider has obtained the first look at the General, and it seems like he has returned to familiar territory.
According to a report from Collider, the third season of Tulsa King will see Dave Erickson taking over as the new showrunner, replacing Terence Winter. Erickson’s arrival should excite fans, as he has worked on a similar project, namely Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown. With production on the new season now underway, Stallone recently shared a new preview of Tulsa King season 3 on Instagram, featuring the three-time Oscar nominee looking dashing as always.
As reported by Collider, the image shows Stallone’s character, Dwight, posing in front of a storefront in New York City, cigar in hand, and wearing a well-tailored suit. The caption of the image confirms that he was filming a scene in the Big Apple, but the actor does not confirm exactly what brings the General to New York. There are a couple of reasons which might bring the king of Tulsa to NYC. Top of the list might be to visit his daughter, Tina (played by Tatiana Zappardino), and his grandsons. While he and his daughter are no longer estranged, his activities endangering their lives in Season 2 surely strained the relationship somewhat. Second, mob business could be a reason for his visit.
As noted by Collider, with the Invernizzi crime family in New York under new management, with Vince (played by Vincent Piazza) taking over from Chickie (played by Domenick Lombardozzi) after his encounter with Kansas City, Dwight might be in New York to discuss some form of business with Vince. The third season of Tulsa King will see the introduction of new villains, including Robert Patrick and Beau Knapp to the cast. Patrick will play Jeremiah Dunmire, described as a powerful man in the liquor business. Knapp will play Jeremiah’s unpredictable son, Cole Dunmire.
Collider reports that returning for the third season alongside Stallone will be Frank Grillo, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany. The third season will also see Dwight trying to move his business to become legitimate, which could lead to a conflict with the new villains.
Tulsa King has had a successful run so far, with its record-breaking first season drawing in audiences. The show has been praised for its gritty portrayal of the mafia world and Stallone’s performance as the lead character. As the third season approaches, fans are eagerly waiting to see what’s next for Dwight Manfredi and his crew.
A release date for the third season of Tulsa King has not been set, but Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Paramount+. Fans can stay tuned to Collider for more updates on the show.
