Olivia Attwood to Join This Morning as a Summer Presenter
This Morning will welcome a new face to the sofa as Olivia Attwood joins the show as a summer presenter. The news was announced on the show today, with regular hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley taking a well-deserved summer break. Attwood, a former Love Island star and Bad Boyfriends presenter, will be one of a group of temporary presenters taking the reins of the show for a number of episodes.
According to an article on Digital Spy, Attwood, who also featured on The Only Way Is Essex, is no stranger to daytime TV, having joined Loose Women in 2023. Appearing on This Morning today, Attwood shared the exciting news, which was prompted by Shephard and Deeley. “We’re very excited, you’ve got some big news about This Morning and you in the summer?” Shephard began. Attwood confirmed, “I have some news, yes, it’s very exciting. I’ll be joining you guys on the hosting team – on the other side of the couch.” (1)
Attwood described the experience as “surreal” and said that joining This Morning feels like a “natural” progression of her presenting career. “It’s a huge honour. I’ve obviously grown up watching this show, and being part of the Daytime team with Loose Women has been the best experience and this just feels like a very natural progression of that,” she said. Attwood also discussed her upcoming series on surgical cosmetic procedures, titled Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection, in which she witnessed some surgeries up close and realised where to draw the line.
The show, which airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX, will feature Attwood alongside other temporary presenters. Digital Spy reported that Attwood will be doing a couple of shows in the summer. Commenting on her role on Loose Women, Attwood said that it has been a great experience and that This Morning feels like a natural fit.
Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley will be taking a break from the show, and their temporary replacements have been announced. According to Digital Spy, Attwood’s appearance on the show was a surprise to many, but she seems to be a great fit.
