Love Island Contestant Reveals Secret Signal to Communicate with Family from Villa
According to a report by the Daily Mail, Love Island contestant Tommy Bradley has revealed the secret signal he will use to communicate with his family from the villa. The 22-year-old landscape gardener from Hertfordshire is one of the singletons ready to find love on the upcoming series of the ITV2 dating show.
In an interview, Tommy explained that he will use a secret gesture to show his family that he is thinking of them. He revealed that his family had suggested the signal, which involves turning his baseball cap sideways. However, Tommy was hesitant to adopt the signal, saying “I was like, ‘I can’t do that, walking around with a side baseball cap!'” as reported by the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail also reports that Tommy has undergone a body transformation in the last year ahead of entering the iconic villa in Mallorca. He has been billed as ‘the cheeky chappy’ of the show and seems keen to stay connected to his family from inside the villa.
When asked what he was looking for in the villa, Tommy previously told the Daily Mail that he is looking for “a girl who is very ambitious, with a big personality, caring, but also someone that doesn’t take themselves too seriously.” He added, “I don’t know if that’s asking for too much, but I want a bit of everything. I haven’t got a specific type in terms of looks, though.”
The Daily Mail also reports that Love Island bosses have axed a fan favourite part of the villa for the upcoming series. The famous bean bags have been banned in an attempt to make the accommodation feel more luxe and expensive. Replacing them this year are ‘Molly-Mae inspired’ boucle seats with oak paneling and comfy cushions.
Creative Director of the show Mike Spencer-Hayler told the Daily Mail, “The whole place, we wanted it to feel more upmarket. We’ve gone for inspiration from The Beverly Hills Hotel. It’s more sophisticated this year. There’s no more bean bags and now only lovely chairs. The beanbags have been axed. Hopefully it still feels like Love Island, but a more premium version. No more budget than usual though.”
Love Island will be available to watch on ITV2 and to stream on ITVX from June 9. As the show approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the new series and the contestants that will be taking part. With Tommy Bradley’s secret signal and the new villa decor, it’s set to be an interesting and dramatic series.
The show’s contestants are said to be a diverse group of young people looking for love and a chance to win a cash prize. The Daily Mail reports that Tommy seems to tick all the Love Island boxes as the cheeky chappy of this summer’s series. He looks to enjoy a night out with the lads and out on the boxing scene with his brother, but he’s also packed on serious muscle over the last year ready for telly’s famous villa and is no longer just a personality hire.
As reported by the Daily Mail, ITV was previously contacted by MailOnline for comment. With the new series of Love Island approaching, fans will have to wait and see how Tommy’s story unfolds and if he finds love in the villa.
