Tragic Death of Pregnant Mother and Unborn Baby Leads to Inquest
A devastating inquest has heard that a 29-year-old pregnant mother, Aliesha Fisher, was found dead at her home in Lancashire, just weeks away from giving birth to her daughter. According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, Aliesha was 30 weeks pregnant when her body was discovered on the floor of her bedroom on December 28 last year.

Medics were unable to resuscitate Aliesha, who had epilepsy, and her unborn daughter, later named AriaMay, was found without a heartbeat.
An inquest into Aliesha’s death was opened at Preston Coroner’s Court. The Manchester Evening News reports that Area Coroner Kate Bisset said: "She was last seen alive by her family at around 11pm. At around 10am the following morning her cousin woke on the couch and noticed Aliesha was on the floor of her bedroom not moving. Paramedics [confirmed death] shortly afterwards. She was 30 weeks pregnant. The paramedics sadly confirmed no evidence of life from the baby."
The inquest heard that Aliesha’s death and the loss of her unborn baby were tragic and unexpected. Coroner Kate Bisset added: "The final inquest will consider the cause of death and what led to the tragic loss of this young woman and her unborn baby. There is no suggestion of self-harm or any deliberate causes of this baby’s death." The final inquest is scheduled to take place on July 16.
After Aliesha’s death, her family launched a tribute on muchloved.com, remembering her as a much-loved individual who will always be recalled. The family also raised money for Epilepsy Action in Aliesha’s memory. Harvinder Chaggar from the charity posted: "We are so sorry for your loss and are thinking of you as you remember Aliesha.
