A new BBC drama, What It Feels Like For A Girl, has sparked a heated debate about transgender rights and single-sex spaces, following the UK Supreme Court’s recent ruling on the definition of a woman under equalities law. The show’s creators and cast members have spoken out about the importance of community and human rights, as the country grapples with the implications of the court’s decision.

"It’s a really scary time in our culture, politically, and so hopefully what the show does is provides relief, but also community," he said. "Because I think we need community.
