Twickenham Green Development Hits Milestone with Brickwork and Drainage Works

Construction Progresses at London Square’s Twickenham Green Site with Brickwork and Drainage Underway

Developers London Square have reported significant progress on the London Square Twickenham Green development, following the demolition of the former Greggs Bakery factory site. According to their latest June 2025 update, construction work is well underway, with multiple aspects of the project being tackled simultaneously.

The site has seen the installation of foundations, substructure blockwork, and drainage systems, which are crucial components of the development. London Square have confirmed that brickwork is now underway, and road construction continues, with attenuation tanks being installed to support sustainable drainage. Additionally, scaffold mats have been put in place to support ongoing building works, and mortar silos are now on site to support the next phase of construction.

In light of the recent dry weather, London Square have introduced additional dust suppression measures to mitigate the spread of dust, a major issue amongst local residents during the demolition process. The developer has assured that it is working to control dust levels and minimise disruptions to the surrounding community.

Current works on site include continuing foundation installation, ongoing substructure blockwork and drainage, brickwork and scaffolding in progress, and continued road construction, with tarmacking scheduled for sections needed by construction traffic. Cleaning and internal preparation of 2 Gould Road are also underway.

Looking ahead to July, London Square have planned several key works, including the installation of block and beam flooring, first fix carpentry, and work on the site’s apartment blocks. Scaffolding and brickwork will continue throughout the site, with no road closures or late-night works scheduled for the coming month.

“We are pleased to report on the progress being made at the London Square Twickenham Green development,” said a spokesperson for London Square, as reported by Twickenham Nub News. The development is expected to bring significant benefits to the local community, with a focus on sustainable design and construction practices.

As construction continues, London Square have urged local residents to be aware of the ongoing works and to report any concerns or issues. The developer remains committed to keeping the community informed and involved throughout the project. Further updates will be provided as the development progresses.
