UK and Croatia Linked by New Direct Travel Route

New Route Connecting UK and Croatia Launches

A new flight route connecting Manchester and Pula has been launched by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, according to a report from Croatia Week. The inaugural flight on the Manchester-Pula route took off in early May, with services set to operate twice a week until mid-October, as confirmed by the Croatian Tourist Board.

The new route is expected to boost travel between the UK and Croatia, especially as British interest in the country continues to grow. "This year’s first Jet2 flights to Croatia have been met with great enthusiasm and a notable increase in interest for our destinations," said Bisera Fabrio, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board (CNTB) office in the UK. "With Jet2 returning to Pula and expanding its offer, we are confident that the number of British tourists in Istria this summer will be significantly higher."

In addition to the Manchester-Pula route, Jet2 is also operating flights from Birmingham to Pula twice a week until mid-October, as well as a weekly Saturday service from London Stansted. A brand-new exclusive route from East Midlands Airport to Pula is set to launch on 24 May. With this expansion, Jet2 now flies to three airports in Croatia – Dubrovnik, Split, and Pula – catering to travellers looking to explore the country’s diverse coastal regions.

According to Croatia Week, Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, expressed excitement over the company’s biggest-ever summer programme for Croatia. "Our new flights and holiday packages, along with our largest selection of options to date, offer plenty of choice for holidaymakers eager to discover this stunning Croatian region filled with scenic landscapes and cultural treasures. We’re confident the new Pula route will be a huge hit."

The new route is a significant development for the tourism industry in Croatia, which has seen a growing number of British visitors in recent years. Croatia Week reports that the country’s tourism board is optimistic about the potential for further growth, with a focus on promoting the country’s cultural and natural attractions.

The launch of the new route is also a boost for the local economy in Istria, where Pula is located. The region is known for its stunning coastline, historic towns, and vibrant cultural scene, making it an attractive destination for tourists. As Croatia Week notes, the new route is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, with increased tourism expected to generate revenue and create jobs.

Croatia Week also reports that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are investing heavily in their summer programme for Croatia, with a range of flights and holiday packages available to customers. The company’s commitment to the Croatian market is a testament to the country’s growing popularity as a tourist destination.

As reported by Croatia Week, the new Manchester-Pula route is a significant addition to Jet2’s operations in Croatia, and is expected to be a popular choice for travellers looking to explore the country’s coastal regions. With its rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture, Croatia is an attractive destination for tourists, and the new route is set to make it easier for British visitors to experience all that the country has to offer.

The Croatian Tourist Board has confirmed that the new route is part of a broader effort to promote tourism in the country. "We are working hard to promote Croatia as a tourist destination, and the new Jet2 route is a significant part of that effort," said a spokesperson for the board. "We are confident that the new route will help to attract more British tourists to the country, and we look forward to welcoming them to Croatia."

Croatia Week has reported that the new route is just one of several new flight routes and holiday packages launched by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays in recent months. The company’s investment in the Croatian market is a testament to the country’s growing popularity as a tourist destination, and is set to have a positive impact on the local economy.
