Harry Wilson Returns with His Fancies for Every Race on Day Three of York’s Dante Meeting
According to the Racing Post, Harry Wilson has returned with his expert tips for all seven races from day three of York’s Dante meeting on Friday, plus the live ITV race from Newbury.
The first race of the day is the 2.10 York Clipper EBF Marygate Fillies’ Stakes (Listed), a 5f race. Harry Wilson’s tip for this race is Harry’s Girl, ridden by Tom Marquand and trained by Richard Hannon. Wilson believes that Harry’s Girl has a good chance of winning, having come from the back to win a good Newmarket maiden last month, showing a good turn of foot.
The 2.25 Newbury Titan Wealth Handicap, a 1m2f race, is the next event. Wilson’s tip for this race is Into Battle, ridden by Hector Crouch and trained by Ed Walker. Into Battle was an eyecatcher on his reappearance at Haydock last month and should be a force off the same mark as last time.
The 2.42 York Knights Solicitors Handicap, a 1m2½f race, is the third event of the day. Harry Wilson’s tip for this race is Salamanca, ridden by William Buick and trained by Jane Chapple-Hyam. Salamanca benefited from a fine front-running ride to win on All-Weather Championships finals day and still looks well handicapped after a 4lb rise.
The 3.13 York Sky Bet Fillies’ Stakes (Listed), a 1m race, is the fourth event. Wilson’s tip for this race is Consecrated, ridden by Tom Marquand and trained by William Haggas. Consecrated looked a smart prospect when landing a Newbury maiden last month and the step to a mile should bring about even more improvement.
The 3.45 York Boodles Yorkshire Cup Stakes (Group 2), a 1m6f race, is a highlight of the day. Harry Wilson’s tip for this race is Rebel’s Romance, ridden by William Buick and trained by Charlie Appleby. Rebel’s Romance has never run over a trip this far, but Wilson believes he has the ability to settle and should be too good for the competition.
The 4.15 York Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Handicap, a 5f race, is the fifth event. Wilson’s tip for this race is Loom, ridden by Billy Garritty and trained by Richard Fahey. Loom ran well for a long way in a strong 6f handicap at Newmarket last month and should build on his reappearance off what looks to be a workable mark now dropping in distance.
The 4.55 York Darley EBF “Confined” Novice Stakes, a 1m race, is the sixth event. Harry Wilson’s tip for this race is Bowmark, ridden by William Buick and trained by John & Thady Gosden. Bowmark was an impressive winner of a mile novice at Kempton in December and should be too good for these even under a penalty.
The 5.30 York Yorkshire Equine Practice Handicap, a 7f race, is the seventh and final event. Wilson’s tip for this race is Mums Tipple, ridden by Alec Voikhansky (3lb) and trained by Richard Hannon. Mums Tipple is off a career-low mark of 78 and just can’t be ignored at a track at which he bolted up by 11 lengths in a sales race as a juvenile.
