TUI Holiday Nightmare: Woman Slams Company’s "Horrendous" All-Inclusive Trip to Corfu
A 69-year-old woman has spoken out about her "horrendous" all-inclusive holiday to Corfu with TUI, claiming the trip was marred by a lack of English food and limited drink options.
Susan Edwards, from Westerhope, embarked on a seven-night getaway to the Greek island with her elderly cousins, aged 77 and 78, her 30-year-old daughter, and a second cousin who is 50. However, the holiday quickly turned sour, with Susan describing the experience as "horrendous from the minute we got there."
According to The Daily Star, Susan and her party paid £750 each for the holiday, which they booked through TUI. However, upon arrival at the hillside Lido Corfu Sun Hotel, they were disappointed to find that the promised pool-side snacks were limited to a "one-inch square of baklava."
Susan, who has ulcerative colitis and requires a specific diet, claimed that the hotel’s catering options were severely limited, with no English food available. "On a morning you could have toast, a hard-boiled egg, or something in sauce," she said. "There was no bacon. For breakfast, there was mozzarella and sliced tomatoes. There was no hot bacon or sausage."
The hotel’s menu offerings were not limited to breakfast, with Susan recounting that the only other food options available were chips, fish, sardines, and rice. "I was sick to death of looking at rice," she said. "There was pasta and salads, none of this was marked
