WWE Stars’ Releases Delayed Amid Social Media Exit Clues

WWE Stars’ Cryptic Social Media Posts Spark Release Rumors, But Reality Revealed

A recent flurry of cryptic social media posts from several WWE stars, including Chelsea Green, Shotzi, and Austin Theory, sparked widespread speculation about potential talent releases. However, according to a report from WrestlingInc.com, the reality is far from what fans had feared.

As reported by WrestlingInc.com, despite the ominous posts, several WWE talent are reportedly not being released. In fact, Fightful Select, a reputable source for wrestling news, revealed that they have not heard about any upcoming WWE talent releases. This comes as a surprise, especially given the recent reports of WWE staff releases on Thursday, including Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations Christine Lubrano.

Chelsea Green, the former Women’s United States Champion, had added fuel to the rumors with her posts to X (formerly Twitter). In one message, she wrote “Goodbye for now” and tagged WWE, alongside an American flag and a saluting emoji, with a picture of the United States Capitol. Green also posted another message alluding to her championship loss to Zelina Vega on “WWE SmackDown”, stating that there would be great champions again, but “there will never be another Chelsea again.” However, according to WrestlingInc.com, citing Fightful’s report, there is no plan to take Green off TV following her loss, and she’s scheduled for Friday’s “SmackDown” tapings.

Shotzi also made waves with an almost four-minute long video posted to X early Friday morning, with the caption, “Whatever happens next, I’m ready for it. Stay ballsy my friends,” accompanied by a heart emoji. In the emotional promo, she referenced her previous injury, which received praise from those within the company, according to WrestlingInc.com. Austin Theory’s cryptic post was also met with confusion, as he is still with WWE. He posted a statement about having flaws, struggles, and insecurities, but believing in himself and seeing the vision “when no one else does.”

The last round of WWE talent releases occurred in February and included notable names such as Blair Davenport, Sonya Deville, the Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering, and Cedric Alexander. Reports of those releases began during “SmackDown” and continued into the next day. However, it appears that the recent cryptic posts from Green, Shotzi, and Theory are not indicative of an impending release.

According to WrestlingInc.com, Fightful Select’s report suggests that WWE talent should not be worried about their current status. The report also indicates that those within the company spoke highly of Shotzi’s promo, which could be a sign of her continued importance to the WWE.

In conclusion, while the cryptic social media posts from WWE stars Chelsea Green, Shotzi, and Austin Theory may have sparked concerns about potential releases, it appears that the reality is far from what fans had feared. As reported by WrestlingInc.com, citing Fightful’s report, these talent are reportedly not being released, and their current status with WWE remains unchanged.
